MOON AREA H.S. BASEBALL 2007
This is a special tribute to my mentor, second father, adopted GODFATHER, and one of my very dearest friends. God Bless You, Ray !- Joseph Douglas "Mav" Marek (Moon Area Class of 1975).
Hi everyone, this is a simple dedication to a dear friend of mine, when you think of Moon Area Baseball, most of the time you will think his name. His name is Ray Bosetti. I had the wonderful fortune and honor to have worked with and be taught by this great man. He has been teaching us, our children and in some case thier children baseball for over forty years. I am proud to dedicate this page to him and his dedication to Moon Baseball.
In the following week or two, I will be adding some stories and pictures of the man I call my mentor, my second father, my adopted Godfather. I hope you will enjoy my look at Ray's baseball career and a look at the man we call "Coach Bo". So consider this page still under construction.
On Friday July 2nd, 2004 at approximately 2:30 PM. Coach Bosetti was presented with a letter by the PA State Representative Mark Mustio (R-44th) in lieu of a citation which is unfortunately stuck in Harrisburg along with Rep. Mustio. He will present it later to Bosetti. Also the Township Of Moon and the Moon Baseball Association will be presenting Coach Bosetti with acknowledgements of his contributions to the township where he was born and raised and taught and coached and still calls home.
Unfortunately, I am unable to attend this great moment in Coach Bosetti's life. But I send my thanks to Ruth Klimek and husband for starting the ball rolling. And I thank those of you that have sent tributes by email and letter and to those of you that have made room in your day to actually be there when he recieves these honors. May God Bless all of you.
I will be getting photos of the event and I will also be posting some of your messages on this site for all to read.
Thank you Coach Bosetti !!! Thank you for the 40 years you have given us and here's to hoping you have many more.
